About Us

Our mission is to promote diving

Our Scuba Diving club in Perth is affiliated to the UK’s largest not-for-profit sports diving organisation – British Sub Aqua Club or BSAC for short. With over 1,100 clubs and Dive centers globally you will be provided with qualifications that are recognised globally.

Equivalent BSAC qualifications

If you already have diving qualifications with other diving organisations such as PADI, SCOTSAC, CMAS, SSI and NAUI we recognise these qualifications and you can check how they cross over by clicking here. If you haven’t dived in the UK you may need to do a drysuit course as typically in Scotland the Water temperature varies from 6°C in the Winter to 15°C in the Summer.

BSAC training centre

Diver training through our club is done on a Wednesday night at the Glenamond College Pool and involves Lectures, Pool Training and then open water training. If you are planning a diving holiday give yourself 6 months to get qualified, the benefits of training through the club system are that you can learn at your own pace and as a consequence divers who qualify through this system are more confident in open water.

Advanced training

Perth-BSAC can also offer technical CCR training on the AP Inspiration rebreather (Vision) using the BSAC CCR course syllabus and delivered by a nationally qualified CCR-instructor. This training is available to club members on a cost recovery basis.

What we do

Diving, diving and again diving.

Here we explore another world. Most people know their environment, they can travel and explore new countries. Just a few people are lucky enough to see our planet from above. And there are some people who can go down into the water, in a safe, comfortable and enjoyable/fun way to discover what’s down there.

We all know what’s all above us, we have discovered a lot about our surrounding universe. We've uncovered less than 5% of what lies beneath the waves. With us, this world is open to you, not just lakes, lochs but seas all over the world.

We welcome both, new members wanting to learn how to become a Scuba Diver or experienced divers looking for an active diving club to continue their diving and training. Running regular day trips and weekends we have ample opportunity to suit everyone’s tastes whether it is your first open water dives or adventurous weekends away.
